Landscapes by Boat with San Antonio River Foundation’s Frates Seelingson

In celebration of Roman Landscapes: Visions of Nature and Myth from Rome and Pompeii, a special exhibition on view at the San Antonio Museum of Art this spring, we are excited to partner with SAMA for a special river boat tour. San Antonio River Foundation Executive Director Frates Seeligson will lead an hourlong excursion focusing on the San Antonio River and how the natural landscape has shaped our community. Arrive early to experience Roman Landscapes before the tour and make connections between the ancient Romans’ relationship with the environment and our relationship with the South Texas landscape.

Register online. Tour leaves promptly at 1:00PM. Please arrive at The Gloria Galt River Landing accessible from SAMA’s outdoor pavilion by 12:45PM. Tickets: $30.00 each with discounts for SAMA members, students and educators, and youth (12 and under). In case of inclement weather, the tour will be cancelled, and tickets will be refunded.

Your Generosity Has Changed Your World

Since 2003, our Foundation has privately raised and reinvested over $43 million dollars in enhancing your San Antonio River experience. Our project partners —the San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, and the US Army Corps of Engineers — have invested over $789 million in river improvements for our community. Together, our investments have added over $3.6 billion in economic impact through adjacent private investment and development.
