2027 Fiesta Medal Design Open Call

The San Antonio River Foundation is seeking conceptual design submissions that demonstrate artistic skill, creativity, and alignment with the San Antonio River Foundation’s mission. Submissions do not need to be fully finalized or production-ready, but should clearly illustrate the proposed theme, style, and overall vision for the Fiesta medal.

The selected designer will receive a $600 design fee for the final approved Fiesta medal artwork, delivered as a PNG file. This fee includes 2 rounds of minor revisions and exclusive transfer of usage rights for the medal to the San Antonio River Foundation.

We encourage artists to refer to our website and social media platforms to get a better sense of who we are and what we do. Additional, we’ve attached images of our previous Fiesta Medals, brand colors, the 3 logos options for your reference.

This opportunity is open to all artists. Artists may submit up to 3 designs, completing a new application for each design. If you have questions, feel free please email info@sariverfound.org.

Timeline:

• June 8 – Applications close
• August – Final selection announced
• August – September – Design development and revisions
• November 1 – Fiesta medal design completed and sent to printers

Your Generosity Has Changed Your World

Since 2003, our Foundation has privately raised and reinvested over $43 million dollars in enhancing your San Antonio River experience. Our project partners —the San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, and the US Army Corps of Engineers — have invested over $789 million in river improvements for our community. Together, our investments have added over $3.6 billion in economic impact through adjacent private investment and development.
