“We need to care for our lands and waterways to keep future Texans in the field and on the water ”
Meet Albert S. Carmona, the Special Events Coordinator for the San Antonio River Foundation (SARF). The Harlandale graduate received his bachelor’s from Johnson & Wales University Denver Campus, and is currently pursuing his master’s at Baylor University. Albert is a San Antonio Native with Deep Texas Roots. He comes to the Foundation with years of experience working in the Sports and Event Industries.
Living in Denver you see its citizens utilize its river and trail systems effortlessly. From fly fishing the South Platte River in LODO to commuting and recreating on the Cherry Creek Trail. Living out West helped me realize how important it is to keep our Public Lands and Rivers accessible. In San Antonio we’re setting ourselves up for success with the of the Introductions of the Mission and Museum Reaches to not only help nurture our lands but to keep future generations of Texans along its banks.
When I’m not on an event site and with our wonder team, you can find me on a waterway fly fishing or out in the brush country of South Texas. Being outdoors as always been a safe haven for me and somewhere I go to be completely disconnected from the distractions of life. “Immerse yourself in the outdoor experience. It will cleanse your soul and make you a better person.” Fred Bear
