Gathering Places

“Walkable” neighborhoods, green spaces and safe access to retail shops, businesses and recreation will link many neighborhoods to the river, and to the larger San Antonio community as a result of the San Antonio River Improvements Project.

Green spaces and open areas will provide significant quality of life and economic value to the community. Just imagine:

• Pedestrian-friendly plazas and gateways throughout both the Mission and Museum Reach.
• Refurbished neighborhood pocket parks that might include fountains and enhancements.
• Exciting innovative “green” and “blue” streets might be incorporated into several neighborhoods.
