Docent
A Docent will conduct tours and educate the public about the art along the Museum reach, and as projects are completed along the Mission Reach, will conduct tours of installations on the Mission Reach.
Docents should have an outgoing personality, basic knowledge of art, some knowledge of San Antonio History, and have excellent presentation skills.
Docents will give tours to various constituencies as needed on the Museum Reach and eventually the Mission Reach.
Requires comprehensive training. Orientations held twice per year.
Duties will take place primarily during normal working hours along the San Antonio River.
Docent’s are needed year round depending on tours scheduled and events needing Docent assistance. We ask for a commitment of at least 4 tours per year. See event listing for dates of events needing docents.
Docents will report to Karen Adams, Communications Director .
