Reaching the Museum Reach

Pedestrians

Simply continue north from the River Walk to the Museum Reach. Clear signs mark the way.

Water Taxis

Yellow Rio Taxis (not guided barges) that travel the River Walk can drop you at the Lexington Street Bridge or just south of the Lock and Dam, where you can then transfer to a Red Rio Taxi. The Red Rio Taxis loop north through the Lock and Dam, to the Pearl Turning Basin, and back.

You can get on and off the taxis at a number of points along the way. One way, 24-hour and 3-day passes are available; ask the captains or at the ticket booths for prices.

Parking

Parking is available at meters and lots along Lexington Street and side streets near the Museum Reach. Lots and meters are available at the San Antonio Museum of Art, and free parking plus meters are available at Pearl Brewery. Some parking may also be available at VFW Post 76.
