The corporation has taken a special interest in the San Antonio River Park because Nokia celebrates art, culture and education and supports nature conservation, all of which are embodied by the project. Nokia is the first international company to donate to the San Antonio River Foundation. Nokia became aware of the San Antonio River Foundation and its works through its business relationship as a supplier for AT&T, a major sponsor of the San Antonio River Foundation. ### About SARF: SARF was established in 2003 as a non-profit organization to raise funds from the private sector to support the San Antonio River. The foundation’s mission is to secure financial and community support to enhance the natural beauty, recreational use and public appreciation of the San Antonio River and is an integral part of the San Antonio River Improvements Project, a long-term public/private river restoration initiative. |
