Submission

The San Antonio River Foundation (SARF) invites artists, architects and industrial designers to submit portfolios and applications for upcoming enhancement opportunities for the San Antonio River Improvements Project (SARIP) along the San Antonio River.

Selection Process

Our Art and Architecture Committee and its selection panels are comprised of local artists, representatives of arts organizations, local architects and government officials from various agencies currently working on the SARIP. The selection panels award commissions through direct selections, invitationals and open calls. In order to be considered for direct selections and invitationals, please send us your application and all requested information. By sending us this material, your information will be added to our database and we will notify you any time that we have open call projects.

The San Antonio River Improvements Project

The San Antonio River Improvements Project is a public and private collaboration revitalizing and enhancing the San Antonio River. This project will revitalize both urban neighborhoods and natural habitats by adding public art and amenities, improving and adding pathways and foot bridges, restoring natural river features, reintroducing native plant and animal life, removing invasive species, and developing a continuous pedestrian and bike oriented link from the origin of the river, through downtown, to the south side and the historic San Antonio Missions.
