Estela Avery, Interim Executive Director
Estela Avery is a devoted philanthropist, dedicated volunteer and fundraiser for over 15 years. Her experience in working with non-profit organizations ranges from being a board member to heading capital campaigns, working with volunteers and chairing very successful special events.
A registered nurse by training, Estela acquired her management skills and attention to detail in various hospital settings.
She currently sits on the San Antonio River Foundation Board and is serving as Interim Executive Director. She is the board chair at Providence Catholic School Inc., serves on the KLRN board, Schreiner University Advisory Board for the BSN Program, School of Nursing UT Health Science Center Advisory Board, and CSU Advisory Board in Kerrville. She is also the working chair for Hill Country Memorial Hospital Gala in Fredericksburg.
Over the years, Estela has donated her time and treasures to the Salvation Army, Peterson Regional Hospital, Notre Dame Catholic School in Kerrville, The Needs Council and the Good Samaritan Clinic in Fredericksburg, the Catholic Community Foundation of San Antonio and the M.D. Anderson Children’s Art Project.
Estela and her husband Jim, the Founder of James Avery Craftsman, divide their time between their homes in San Antonio and Fredericksburg.
