Jennifer Martinez
Since becoming the first manager for the Bexar County Economic Development's Strategic Initiatives Division in 2008, Jen has expanded and created new programs that are helping the county do a better job at creating and retaining jobs and in the long run should ease the poverty of the city’s lowest income neighborhoods. Hired to expand the county’s Texas-Mexico Automotive Super-Cluster, Jen plays a crucial role in reaching out to automobile manufacturing companies in Texas and northeast Mexico and is now working to build stronger partnerships with China.
Prior to the County, Jen worked in international trade and development in Texas and Mexico.
Jen received a BBA in Management with an International Business Concentration from UTSA and is currently a candidate for a MBA in Sustainable Business at Bainbridge Graduate Institute in Seattle, Washington. She is a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional and is fluent in Spanish.
